Main responsibilitiesAs an analyst, you will take responsibility for supporting the Analytics team’s objective to deliver timely and accurate analysis which enables the business to be fully informed of Credit Risk within the Society. You will contribute to the production of regular and project-based reports, summarising complex technical information to create a coherent narrative for the Board and a variety of sub-committees.

Your key focus will be our Mortgage Business here at Skipton Building Society, working on our mortgage portfolio you will look at all aspects of the customer journey, from new business through to redemption. Although the role focuses on our Mortgage Business, there is still plenty of variety as you and the team rotate workload on a regular basis.
Ideal candidateWe are looking for someone with an analytical and logical mindset to join the team. Attention to detail is a must as we work at 100% accuracy on all reports. An inquisitive mind that enjoys generating new ideas would help you succeed in this role.

A maths degree or a numerical qualification would help with analysing and interpreting the numbers and complex mathematical concepts that you will be working with; however this can be learnt in the role with the right attitude and aptitude. Experience in a Credit Risk role would also be ideal but again is not essential.

You will manage your own work, while working in a team environment, and the opportunity is perfect for a highly motivated individual who takes ownership of tasks and demonstrates energy and commitment to get things done. With a stepped progression scheme in place, there is room to grow and develop within the team and the Society.
