WORKING HOURS: Full-time 36hrs - 3 shifts per week from 8am to 8pm (No Nights)

THE ROLE: As a Care Assistant / Carer / Support Worker you will responsible to provide companionship to residents and to cater to a range of individual care needs. You will socialise, engage and build effective relationships with the residents as well as assisting with any day-to-day personal living requirements. You will actively contribute as a team member towards delivering high quality support and assistance as needed to meet the clients’ needs. . For the successful candidate development training is offered as well as a healthcare package.

Key Responsibilities for the Care Assistant / Carer / Support Worker in Littlehampton, West Sussex, West Sussex role include:

• To work on a shift and rota basis with the appropriate skill mix as directed by the Manager in order to provide a totally flexible approach so that person centred care can be delivered as required to each Service User.
• To ensure that awareness of health, safety and well-being underpin care delivery with knowledge of any risk assessments and emergency procedures and safeguarding responsibilities which may apply.
• For those trained Care Assistants administer medication to Service Users in line with the Medication Policy and procedure.
• To be aware of the Emergency Plan and Emergency Procedures especially those relating to Fire.
• To work in accordance with the Oakland Policies and Procedures including Infection Control Code of Practice.

Although not essential any previous experience as a Care Assistant, Carer or Support Worker would be beneficial. 

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Care Assistant / Carer / Support Worker's role:-

- 1 years experience working as a Carer (not essential)
- Must be a naturally caring and empathetic person 
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills essential
- live in or within commutable distance to Littlehampton, West Sussex
