Our Capital Reporting Team is a key function within the Society, providing analysis and reports on our capital and regulatory information. As such, it is vital that we have driven and professional individuals working within the team.

Main responsibilitiesEach month you will be required to update and report the current and forecast capital information to the Board.  This piece of work is essential to the risk management and strategic decision making of the society and as such it is important that all the information is accurate.

You will support the production of the ICAAP informing risk appetite, strategy and ongoing risk management.

You will also support the preparation of stress and scenario testing, continually developing and reporting the assessment of risk to inform capital planning and risk management. It is important that you keep up to date with current, new and emerging prudential regulation ensuring that all policies, procedures and practises comply and present best practise.
Ideal candidateIdeally you will have a professional accountancy qualification (such as  ACA ,ACCA or CIMA) and experience in financial services. You will have a strong academic background,  and are likely to be educated to degree level.  

We are looking for people who have experience of internal or external audit, with a strong motivation to develop both technical and softer skills.  No prior experience of the technical prudential aspects of the role are required as full on the job training will be provided. Opportunities are available to study further specialist professional exams.

You’ll be able to juggling a few audits at once, with the ability to provide constructive challenge if you see something’s not right - so you’ll need to be a great communicator who’s resilient, calm, composed and motivated to get the job done, with an ability to stand your own ground when the need arises.
