Location - North Region (candidate needs to be based North of Nottingham)

Salary - �35,000 - �40,000 + commission + 25 days holiday + Pension + car

The Company

ATA Recruitment is currently working alongside a well-established engineering business who has over 50 years of expertise within the special purpose machinery market selling to various food manufacturing companies across the UK. They have invested heavily in the business over the last 5 years and as a result have grown by 50%, they are keen to maintain this upward trajectory moving forward.

Part of this growth will be focussed around working on larger, more complex projects by partnering up with other manufacturers to provide a higher value, turnkey solutions. They are now looking for a Sales Engineer who will be responsible for the account management of 500 customers on the Northern patch from Nottingham to Scotland alongside developing new business opportunities.

The Role

The role of Sales Engineer will involve:

* To cover everything north of Nottingham including Scotland

* You will inherit a patch that is currently generating 700K, your target will be to grow it by 10% each year

* You will be selling into the food and pet food sectors predominantly.

* Sales of capital equipment as well as consumables and service contracts

* Build strong relationships with the existing accounts, whilst being proactive, networking cross site. The patch currently has around 500 accounts to manage.

* Looking for new business opportunities as well as following up on leads generated by the internal sales team.

* Dealing with production, maintenance engineers/ managers, chief engineers, project manager, up to director level, discussing the challenges they face and what engineered solutions you can provide.

* Attending exhibitions.

The Person

To be successful as a Sales Engineer you will need:

* Technical sales experience, my client is open to which industry this is from.

* Motivated by growing existing relationships.

* Flexible to travel around the patch and stay away if required.


* Excellent 3-month training and induction period

* You will inherit an existing patch which currently has a healthy turnover meaning you can hit the ground running from day one.
