Health and Safety Co-ordinator Based in Coventry – 2 Month Contract £20 p/h - £22.48 p/h This well-established company is in the top 5 largest family own companies in the industrial sector having grown and grown since its birth in the early 1900’s. They have 26 sites worldwide generating €6 billion annually. The company operate from a couple of sites in the United Kingdom (based in the Midllands) and specialise in mechatronics within the automotive industry, providing specialist-built parts for a variety of automotive OEM’s. The UK sites currently generate £250 million annually with a work force of around 1,000. Due to a period of exciting growth the company are now looking for a Health and Safety Co-ordinator to take over H&S issues and operations for both the UK sites. If you believe you are suitable for this role, then please contact Graham Mason on or or email your CV to The role of a Health and Safety Co-ordinator will include the following: Co-ordinate and implement any and all H&S plans – and monitor compliance Ensure compliance with OHSAS18001, ISO45001 Support current and help develop company H&S policy Be a visible presence on the factory floor, always on the lookout for potential issues. Investigate any H&S issues such as accidents and near missed Maintain a record of accidents and injury’s – implement improvements from learnings, and identify risks Attend and chair regular HSE meetings Get involved in working through all H&S issues involved in the purchase of new equipment, or implementation of new processes Training as required Tool box safety Manage Contract and Sub-Contract staff – make sure they are compliant. Communicate all issues to the snr management team H&S Audits Documentation The Health and Safety Co-ordinator must possess the following skills & experience to be considered for this role: Strong HSE experience They need to understand H&S issues– hit the ground running Know what you can and can’t do in a manufacturing environment Understand what is unsafe process, practice or equipment; and have the confidence to stop it Shop floor / Manufacturing experience The benefits of this position as a Health and Safety Co-ordinator: Large established company Competitive hourly rate Impressive client list To be considered for this role please either hit the 'Apply' button on this site or email your CV directly to I can also be contacted directly on.
