A primary SEN school in Radcliffe, Bury are looking for a Psychology graduate Teaching assistant to work on a long term basis at their school immediately. The role will involve supporting young people with additional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis. This position is due to begin as soon as possible and will continue through into the new academic year.

* The Bury school require Psychology Teaching assistants who are able to work with 5-11 year olds who have a range of special educational needs including moderate, severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties.
* Some of the children may require assistance with personal care so you must have a willingness to help out with this.
* Also, some children can become verbally and physically challenging therefore additional training such as Team-Teach would be beneficial. Teaching Personnel offer this training.
* You will have access to CPD courses such as Autism Awareness and Safeguarding

The successful Psychology Teaching assistant will have a good theoretical understanding of special educational needs. You must also be a confident and a resilient teaching assistant who holds a genuine desire to help young people with SEN achieve.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
