I am currently working with a mixed SEN secondary school situated near Woolwich, who provide for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties, including verbal and non-verbal autism. The school are currently recruiting staff for September and are looking for a new, outstanding member of support staff to join their team full time after the summer holidays.

If you are looking for a new role within education, this could be the opportunity for you! Having the following qualities, experience or being open to carrying out the following duties would be beneficial for work at this school:

* Previous experience of supporting children with PMLD/ASC
* Willing to support 1:1 or small groups
* Educated up to A levels or degree level
* Training in PECS/ Makaton/BSL/Team Teach/Moving and Handling
* Nurturing attitude
* Calm and patient manner
* Able to provide personal care, including assisting with toileting and changing

To work with Teaching Personnel you will be required to pass our vetting process. This involves having a child workforce DBS registered to the update service, being able to provide a full career history for at least the last 6 years and being able to provide excellent references from your two most recent employers.

Teaching Personnel will supply you with a dedicated SEN consultant who will help you to secure a new position. You will have access to our CPD courses and we will pay your national insurance and a pension contribution for you.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
