Due to growth we have an opportunity for a team leader/supervisor working with a food production facility in Telford.

Salary: 9.35 PER HOUR (19K P/A)

Hours of work: Operation covers a 3 shift system

Job Purpose Summary/Accountabilities:

To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the processing factory and ensure that the quality Specifications and production plans are met within budget.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

General:

* Organisation of production staff.
* Carry out all tasks in accordance with company standard operational procedures and work instructions.
* Communicate to all levels in the department, and the Company as required.
* Ensure all products meet the customer specifications.
* Correct and efficient order completion.
* Guiding and developing all staff.
* Ensuring all staff are following the company procedures including Health and Safety and PPE procedures.
* Provide confidence and leadership in resolving problems.
* Ensure quality standards of product are maintained and that quantities and packaging are correct and in accordance with customer requirements and specifications.
* Ensure for all areas under your direct control that all documentation is being completed accurately and in accordance with site quality procedures.
* Following the start of each shift, ensure that all relevant pre-start checks have been carried out and signed off.

People Management:

* Take measures to ensure your team works towards and are aware of your given targets and efficiencies.
* Ensure the adequate training and supervision of all staff, including agency workers.
* Monitor staff performance.
* Take measures to ensure you praise and discipline where appropriate.
* Ensure the continual development of your team.

Financial Responsibilities:

* To provide real time information on achievement of daily plan.
* To seek proactive and innovation improvements to all systems

H&S Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the Health and Safety of self and others, actively report any Accidents or Near Miss Incidents.
* Do not jeopardise the health and safety of others.
* Do not interfere with things provided for your safety.
* Correct, or report, unsafe practices or conditions.
* Co-operate with managers in maintaining a safe place of work.
* Follow safe working procedures and safety rules.
* Follow the correct procedure if accidents occur.

Environmental Responsibilities:

* Understand and comply with company policy about the environment.
* Reduce environmental waste where possible by e.g. turning off machines when not in use, turning off lights etc.
* Correct, or report, poor environmental practices or conditions.
* Co-operate with management on environmental matters.
* Make suggestions to improve any aspect of environmental management.
* To ensure that General Housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained
