Contract Manager - Repairs & Improvement - London - Full Time - 2 Month Contract - �28ph umbrella

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Contract Manager to ensure routine day to day repairs, works to void properties and pre-designed planned works are delivered to a high standard of quality, that time and cost is managed, compliance is monitored and controlled.

In terms of planned works this could involve major external works involving bespoke solutions or the replacement of communal heating plant within residential properties.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;
- Determining cause of structural failure
- Procuring external services or consultants
- Taking a complex design through to conclusion
- Site inspections
- Management of the work programmes within Housing Repairs and Improvements Team
- Could involve climbing ladders and inspections from scaffolding
- Quality assurance inspections
- Specifying, managing and controlling planned works projects
- Undertaking inspections on building defects
- Specifying, managing and controlling repairs

To be suitable for this opportunity; you must have
- Experience in Local Authority housing repairs
- A creative way of thinking to come up with innovative ways of dealing with complex technical problems
- Excellent people skills to dealing with a variety of stakeholders - including residents
- IT literate
- Experienced in the delivery of construction projects
- Demonstratable CPD and awareness of current standards and H&S regulations
- Experience of the delivery of responsive repairs and/or planned works
- Experience of liaison with residents
- Experience of ensuring that construction works are carried out in compliance with building regulations
- Experience of resolving disputes within a construction environment

The rate for this position is �28ph umbrella. This position is available full time Monday - Friday 36 hours a week. Some outside of normal working hours may be required.
