Family Support Worker

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with an Autism Specialist School in Maidenhead. They have asked us to assist in there search for a family support worker.

The school caters for primary and secondary pupils with Autism and associated Learning Disabilities. Experience working with children with Autism in an ABA setting or SEN School is required.

The school are looking for an family support worker who can work with Teachers staff and families supporting children 1:1 with statements of Autism across the spectrum.

Successful Family Support Workers will:

* Monitor the attendance of pupils
* Hold monthly family events
* Help develop plans to extend the schools services
* Be trained as a Designated Child Protection Officer Training
* Plan a full family training programme
* Ability to monitor, observe and report on pupils progress daily
* Have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, parents and students
* ABA knowledge preferred but no essential

The school are looking for staff on a part time (8.30am-16.30pm) basis but will consider

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
