A number of schools in the Luton and Bedfordshire area are looking for science teachers to join their department in September. The available roles vary between part time, full time, long term and short term positions. The ideal candidate will be experienced in teaching science confidently to Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils with a desire to raise attainment levels. It would be advantageous for the candidate to have a recognised teaching qualification – either a PGCE, GTP, Cert Ed or BA with QTS however this is not essential providing you have teaching experience.

The ideal candidate will also:

* Be genuinely interested in the development and progress of the students
* Be passionate about science with strong knowledge of the subject
* Have the ability to plan and prepare lessons creatively while catering to all learning abilities
* Have a strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills
* Have excellent communication skills and will drive progress within and beyond the department

All candidates must provide two references as well as a Current Child Workforce DBS registered with the DBS Update Service. Teaching personnel will also provide ongoing support and personalised guidance to the candidates throughout.

If you are interested in taking on a new and challenging role in September which will develop all aspects of your teaching career please send an updated copy of your CV or contact the office on 01604521222.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
