Infrastructure Support Analyst (Legal IT/Insurance) - Manchester

£25 to £30k basic

My client, a legal services company is looking for a Infrastructure Support Analyst to work with IT and the business to manage its Database servers and Data, ensure its continuity, performance, security and backups across the estate.
The firm are the leading providers of legal and handling services to the UK general insurance sector. Currently they provide specialist services to 12 of the UK`s 20 largest motor insurers in areas such as counter fraud, costs, credit hire, defendant services, large & complex injury and recoveries.

Key Responsibilities:

Be familiar in the administration of MS Windows 8, 10 Enterprise, Microsoft Office 2013 and 2016 and Citrix administration.
Have experience of basic admin Active Directory.
Demonstrate significant aptitude for software and hardware deployment, with a good understanding of networking and network equipment including TCP/IP.
Be well motivated and a team player, keen to develop skills or advance their own knowledge.
Demonstrate a broad portfolio of skills and knowledge whilst essentially possessing adequate technical skill and experience to permit independent working where necessary.
Be capable of demonstrating a track record of meeting technical challenges successfully and in a timely fashion.
To assist in relevant IT related projects.
To provide second line support for PC, server and printer hardware and software faults, including component-swap repairs.
Be prepared to travel around the UK as required from time to time, with overnight stays wherever necessary.

Key Experience & Skills:

Active Directory
VMWare 6\6.5 Administration
Citrix XenApp Administration - Advantage
SAN Storage Administration NetApp, Nimble
Veeam Backup and Recovery
Experience in the administration and deployment of Windows 8 & 10 and Microsoft Office suites.
Understand of networking WAN and LAN architecture and technologies.
TCP/IP network basic knowledge and troubleshooting
Citrix XenApp Administration - Advantage
Microsoft Office application suites 2013, 2016
A Microsoft systems qualification with evidence of desire to progress with such education or equivalent and compelling ability/knowledge not supported by such qualifications.
ITIL awareness
Knowledge of IP telephony
Minimum 2 years` experience in a similar role
A background in Legal IT preferred but not essential
Well presented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work with minimum supervision.
