An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Learning and Development Manager to cover a 12 month contract with our Taunton based client on a full time basis, pay rate GBP22ph. The main purpose of the role is to develop, implement and embed a learning and development provision to support the delivery of the Corporate Plan; Ensuring our people are sufficiently skilled and motivated to do their jobs effectively now and in the future. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of all learning and development requirements. Working for the Head of Talent & Organisational Development, you will use your expertise to determine organisational, divisional and individual needs and design, deliver and manage L&D provision to meet the need. You will also be responsible for embedding an effective and meaningful Performance Management culture that delivers value both for the individual and organisation and supports our new ways of working and culture change requirements. Ensure the organisation has the skills and capabilities required for the future, providing meaningful management information and developing a robust talent pipeline and succession plans for all key roles The main tasks of this role include the following; Manage the production of learning and development policy, standards and guidelines, including inputting into the people strategy and managing the L&D budget, taking account of current legislation and recommendations and the future direction of the company. Lead on the engagement of and process for reviewing and communicating all learning and development activity. Review, implement and embed all performance management and talent planning activities to ensure they are fit for purpose, meet requirements and deliver tangible benefits to the company, Managers and individuals.
