Are you an experienced, organised and professional Administrator looking for a new and challenging opportunity?

Then this could be the role for you! We are currently seeking a full time, permanent Administration Assistant to join the team at our Walpole Landfill site in Bridgwater.

This role is mainly office based and will provide day to day administrative assistance to enable the safe and efficient operation of the Site. The role will also involve greeting and signing-in any visitors to the site and dealing with general telephone queries, together with creating and maintaining a variety of records.

We are looking for a good team player who has essential knowledge of nominal ledger principles, cost control, budgeting, forecasting and month end procedures.

The ideal candidate will have excellent computer skills including Microsoft office packages, predominately Word, Excel and Outlook alongside a good level of education including GCSE in English and Maths, or equivalent.

The role demands the successful applicant to have a flexible approach to working days and hours in order to ensure vital tasks are achieved in a timely and precise manner, as working at weekends and bank holidays may be required.

Administration Assistant Duties include, but not limited to:

- Ensuring the day to day administrative activities at Walpole Landfill site are carried out in accordance with the Company Procedures.
- Acting as the first point of contact for personal and telephone callers to the office, welcoming them with a polite manner and assisting with any queries.
- Maintaining employee holiday and sickness records including preparation of timesheet returns to head office.
- Responsibility for the site's Personal Protective Equipment and stationery, ordering goods to ensure stocks are present when needed.
- Raising purchase orders and inputting delivery details in a timely manner ensuring that goods and services purchased are correctly allocated.
- Handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Administration Assistant Skills / Experience:

- Sound and proven documentation administration skills at all levels.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Good level of education including GCSE in English and Maths, or equivalent.
- Previous experience working within a busy Admin / supportive role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel including manipulating and creating spreadsheets, ideally be at intermediate level or higher.
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels.
