Wizard Staff Solutions have an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Level 3 Toddler Room Leader in Oxford.

Salary: �9 plus DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday (42.5 hours a week)
Experience of woerking with under 3's is desirable

Purpose of Post:

1 To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children within your area.
2 To provide a high quality, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
3 To supervise, lead, support and inspire your team members
4 To implement, monitor and review routines and procedures.
5 To co-ordinate and support their team in developing and delivering a range of activities for children in their care. This will include overseeing and contributing to planning for children’s interests and next steps to support progression.
6 To ensure then that the elements of observation and assessment are implemented e.g. Starting with the child, observe (look, listen, note), plan (think and share), play and learn together, observe (look, listen, note).
7 To support your Manager with any tasks delegated to you and with the overall running of the nursery.

Main Duties Include, but are not Limited to:

1 To ensure the well-being of children at all times. To be vigilant and proactive in the approach to Safeguarding and adhere to the Safeguarding policy and procedures at all times.
2 Formulate and operate a programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in your area to meet all requirements of the EYFS.
3 Ensure ratios are adhered to at all times.
4 Ensure that children’s records (Learning Journeys) are maintained, up-to-date and accurate by monitoring on a regular basis with support from Deputy and Manager.
5 To ensure Key Person systems are in place and parents know who are responsible for the main care and development of their children
6 Work collaboratively with outside agencies and parents of children with additional needs to achieve full integration into the nursery and have awareness and act upon early identification of additional needs that some children may have. Therefore supporting their physical, emotional and intellectual development.
7 Support all staff and manage your staff team consistently and fairly, including operating an effective and regular supervision system.
8 Liaise with and support parents and other family members.

Required Skills and Personal Characteristics:

1 To be reflective and show a commitment to continuous improvement
2 To model and inspire best practice.
3 Excellent knowledge of the EYFS.
4 To continue to learn and develop personally and professionally
5 Good written and verbal communication skills
6 An ability to prioritise effectively
7 Good time management and organisation skills
8 A positive attitude to reflection, review, and re-evaluation.
