Business Development Manager

Location: Thurleigh, Bedfordshire

Salary: �60k, car, 25% OTE, pension

A new position has been created within Mologic to provide focus on commercialising the Contract Manufacturing and Recombinant Protein products and services.

Contract Manufacture of Lateral Flow Devices, (sub assembly components through to finished goods in housings), from pilot batches to medium scale.

Recombinant Protein products and services include Polyclonal and Monoclonal Antibodies, Fab's, Virus-Like Proteins and Enzymes.

Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:

* Proactively sell Mologic services and products from Manufacturing and Recombinant Protein Units.
* Achieve sales of Mologic products in accordance with Financial forecast and Annual Commercial Plan
* Identify, build relationship with, and negotiate distribution contracts for distribution partners globally, as well as manufacturing agreements/customer sales. Drive B2B/B2C engagement, deliverables and forecasted sales.
* With the Marketing Manager, co-create, execute and own Annual Commercial and Marketing Plans for responsible Mologic products/services, including, but not limited to, route to market, target pricing and positioning, attack plan, monthly forecast and justification.
* Be the main point of contact between Mologic and customers, ensuring optimal communication and expected deliverables (e.g. shipments, information, technical query resolution, overdue invoices etc.)
* Maintain awareness of competitive and commercial landscape directly relating to the Mologic product portfolio

Requirements of the Business Development Manager:

* Proven track record of international sales and business development in diagnostic products (healthcare essential, agricultural desirable) and/or antibodies
* Influencing and Negotiation skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Good relationship skills
* Experience in IVD market
* Management and leadership skills
* Organisation and reporting skills
* Scientific degree or equivalent experience required, with minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.

60% travel is expected, home office working and a minimum of 1 day per month in Mologic office.
