R&D Programme Manager

Location: Thurleigh, Bedfordshire

Salary: �40-50k, pension

A new position has been created within Mologic to provide focus on multiple project management, line management and process development.

Responsibilities of the R&D Programme Manager:

* Resource optimisation through at least 50% time in laboratory with Daily Management
* Development of R&D team
* Daily monitoring of projects from Proof of Concept through to final product release, as defined in the Design Control Process
* Reporting to the client (internal or external), interaction with the customer; monitoring budgets and time allocations, communication frequency and matrices.
* Process development and continuous improvement
* Monitoring the timely compilation and quality of required project documentation: science reports, design control reports, SOPs, Batch Records, training plans and records, manufacturing transfer, Risk Assessments etc. for DHF/Tech File with the Quality Manager and external regulatory consultants.
* Compliance with Mologic's Quality Management System (QMS) and Health & Safety Policy, including observation of ethical principles of research and conditions of Mologic's HTA Licence for storing human tissue samples. Monitor Room Curator performance and compliance.

Requirements of the R&D Programme Manager:

* Project management skills
* Line Management Experience
* Lean experience and/or qualification
* A proven record of effective project management in the field of healthcare diagnostics is essential Experience in product launch from proof of concept is essential
* An Honours Degree (or equivalent) in science with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is expected
* Design Control; QC/QA/RA; Compliance; Tech Transfer experience
* Effective Use of IT skills
* Report writing and presentations
* Technical experience in development of rapid diagnostics.

Research laboratory and office. Occasional national/international travel to academic and manufacturing partners, etc.
