An exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Analytical Manager has become available to join a leading Biopharmaceutical company based in the North West. As the Analytical Manager within MAST you will be responsible for building up the Analytical capabilities within a brand new Pilot Plant including analytical strategy, improvement of product characterisation and the transition of novel Biologic products from R&D to production.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the MSAT Analytical Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Lead analytical strategies and implementation of state-of art technologies for detailed characterisation of biologics to support commercial Manufacturing, tech transfer and new product introductions.

2. Lead analytical manufacturing improvements, in line with QbD approaches, to support product-process understanding, manufacturing implementation and regulatory approvals.

3. Take responsibility for the technical transfer of analytical testing technologies and support the implementation of new analytical testing facility.

4. Manage the analytical MAST group and staff where you will be in charge of recruiting, leading, managing and developing your team.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the MSAT Analytical Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant PhD (Or equivalent experience) in a Life Sciences discipline e.g. Biology, Biochemistry, Biopharmaceuticals, Biotechnology etc. This is in addition to extensive analytical expertise, ideally with development experience.

2. Proven industry experience in working in a GMP Biopharmaceutical / Biologics environment is vital for this position. Exposure to technical transfer of analytical technologies into a Manufacturing / Pilot Plant environment would be beneficial to your application.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with managing a team of analytical scientist as well as managing the development of methods and other similar projects.
