The Credit Control Team Leader Role
We are looking for an experienced Credit Control team leader who will support the team through a busy growth period.

This role's primary duty is to provide senior support managing and assisting the credit control function for the company, which involves both inhouseand external credit control teams. Ensuring timely collection of outstanding customer debt, using both telephone and email methods, adhering to key performance targets.

Key responsibilities

* Supervising and assisting both internal and external credit control team performance and adherence to key performance targets and providing feedback to team to ensure performance is optimised at all times.
* Maximising and improving recovery of debt within the whole department
* Assisting and being the point of escalation to resolve customer queries, within Company KPI timescale targets, to facilitate successful debt collection, using the Company Salesforce CRM system.
* Handle high volume outgoing customer calls and emails to collect any overdue debt, ensuring adherence to key performance targets and Company procedures
* Placing customer accounts on stop in line with company deadlines for non-payment, which includes communication with supplier to ensure Company costs associated with customer account do not escalate
* Agreeing payment plans, in line with company guidelines, where applicable to be taken by an active Direct Debit
* Maintaining customer accounts which includes raising credit notes and invoices and also reconciliation where tasked, always ensuring an active Direct Debit is in place and customer details and account records are kept up to date.
* Maintaining external and internal interactions, on the company software, to record all communication and action taken
* Providing regular debt performance reports to Senior Managers and Company Director. Identifying and providing team training and support
* To undertake any other duties that may fall into the job criteria

Requirements for the Credit Control Team Leader Role

* Previous supervisory experience of a credit control team
* Demonstrates professional and courteous leadership skills
* Ability to drive projects and excellent problem solving skills
* Excellent planning and organisational skills including the ability to work to meet deadlines and prioritise workloads where necessary
* Excellent customer service
* Excellent attention to detail
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work on own initiative and as a member of a team
