Supervising Social Worker - Independent Fostering Agency - South Wales

*Outside IR35 - Private Sector*

A Qualified Social Worker is required to fulfil an initial 2 month contract with an IFA based in South Wales. The pay rate for this role will range from £21.76 PAYE - £30 Ltd company. This position is offering 35 hours per week and is offering an immediate starts. Deadline for CV submission is Friday 2nd June and interviews will be held week commencing 4th June.

Duties and responsibilities for this position include:

-To provide regular support via telephone and supervisory visits to foster carers, as outlined in the IFAs' policy, including annual unannounced visits which are all recorded. To ensure that the complaints information is available to the child in placement and carers, and in addition to facilitate monthly support groups to carers when requested.

-Carrying a caseload of 10-12 carers across Monmouthshire, Builth Wells, Llanelli and Neath and Port Talbot.

-To monitor and review the suitability and competence of foster carers ensuring they provide a safe, healthy, nurturing and learning environment for children/young people.

-To ensure that carers fully understand the fostering task, competencies to be achieved and the standards expected, including record keeping and complaints and representation procedure.

In order to apply for this position you will need to hold the following:

-Minimum of 12 months experience within childrens services - newly qualifieds will be considered

-Social Work qualification

-Social Care Wales registration

-Driving Licence with access to a car
