Technical support role ideal for a relatively junior or mid-level candidate looking for a role in an international IT environment.  Single stage Skype interviews are taking place very soon, with onboarding in July.

Also known as Operations Bridge Technician, you will join an existing team of technical specialists that are providing 24/7 support. Using English as the common language, you'll be part of a 12-hour shift rota covering days and nights, monitoring technical environments, responding to customer issues and providing necessary support as needed. It's a great role to develop your IT and communication skills, plus you can enjoy the benefits of Spain's 3rd largest city when you're not on shift. Paella anyone?!

Your responsibilities:

- Event management and monitoring in a distributed and mainframe environment using various monitoring technologies.
- Identify, resolve, or escalate event notifications which may impact systems availability.
- Provide monitoring and support for batch jobs.
- Perform moderate incident analysis and resolution support.
- Receive and respond to customer support requests through the client’s Service Desk.
- Open service tickets and initiate escalation procedures.
- Perform other duties as required.

- Work on a 12-hour shift during day and night, weekends and public holidays.

Your Support skills should include:

- At least 1 year in a service desk or IT support role preferably with some network knowledge (LAN/WAN).
- Systems knowledge (Microsoft, Windows etc).
- Excellent English language skills and confidence to engage end customers.
- Ability to work day and night shifts.
- Any general knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server, Voice Over IP, Relational database, Virtualization technologies, Scripting in VB or MS power shell, Business reporting tools, IT security will be helpful.
- Cisco or Microsoft certifications are a big plus, as is ITIL knowledge
