Project Controls Engineer

�45,000 to �50,000 Plus Benefits

The Company

My client is a world class manufacturer with a reputation for design, innovation, technology and development of world and class leading vehicles.

Due to plans to grow the Manufacturing Engineering team, they have an excellent opportunity for a Project Controls Engineer to support the maintenance team with any day to day manufacturing issues. You will be part of a cross-functional team which will include management of other small projects.

The Role

The Project Controls Engineer will have 3 key areas of responsibility:

* Providing technical support to the maintenance team when there is a major fault on the line. This will consist of fault identification, diagnosis and then support the maintenance team with fault resolution.

* Capital equipment projects where there is the necessity to upgrade obsolete equipment from manual to automated. This will involve management of the project from initial assessment to installation.

* Process & Continuous Improvements on the line from assessment to implementation from identification and procurement of new equipment to installation and commissioning

Additional responsibilities will include:

* Interrogation and modification of control systems (Siemens S7 / TIA Portal / PLC's)

* Project management of equipment suppliers including Contractor Controls

* New Product Introduction

* Involvement with PFMEA's and Control Plans

* Leak Test Equipment (Froehlic / Fisher Leak / Uson)

The Candidate

The ideal Project Controls Engineer will be educated to degree or equivalent in an electrical engineering discipline. You will be a time-served Electrical Engineer who has developed their career within a medium to high-volume OEM or Tier 1 automated manufacturing environment.

Key areas of experience will also include:

* Experience of Controls and Control systems

* Experience of modifying process

* Engines or associated technologies

Experience of 2D AutoCAD would be an advantage .
