Canon (UK) Ltd is the UK marketing and sales operation for the global company - Canon Inc - based in Tokyo, Japan. In the UK and Ireland Canon currently employs around 2,050 people in various locations in the UK including the Head office in Surrey.

Working in Canon's Camera Repair Centre in Elstree, Hertfordshire, you will be providing a high level of customer service that meets and on occasions goes beyond customer expectations.

Duties of the Customer Service Officer:

* Answer customer enquiries by phone, email/letter or at reception following the correct resolution and/or escalation procedure.
* Process orders, invoices and general enquiries using the front and back office systems. Accurate and timely update of customer records and repair information. Ongoing contribution to all processes and procedures that affect the efficient operation of the administration function
* Adopt a positive, professional, and courteous attitude to both internal and external customers taking full ownership of any issues.
* Meet the defined objectives and targets relating to individual, team or department Service Level Agreements (SLA's). Achieve personal objectives/targets on performance review documents (PRD's) and 121 forms.
* Flexible and adaptable approach when working with team members or other departments to achieve the teams/departments objectives and targets.
* Adapt to new or additional tasks/projects within the Administration team when requested to by the Administration Team Leader or manager.

Requirements of the Customer Service Officer:

* Previous experience in a customer service environment, handling telephone calls, emails and face to face queries.
* Competent Microsoft Office skills - Word and Excel and experience of inputting accurate data into a database
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, input data accurately and respond to customer queries in a timely manner.
* Excellent organisation skills.
* Ideally with experience of taking payment, cash and credit card, in addition to the required skills and experience above.
