Our client, a global automotive manufacturer with an iconic brand, has made available an initial 11-month contract post for a Quality Engineer - Body Engineering to be based at their Gaydon location paying up to £25 per hour.

Whilst this role is predominantly office based, there may be a need to visit workshops and production facilities to gain access to the vehicles, to fully understand the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer - Body Engineering role

* This role is responsible for developing and driving process improvements, in the initial scoping (Pre Programme Start) phases of Product Development, to establish standards for entitlement and achievement of Body Engineering Product Quality targets.

Qualifications and Experience required for the Quality Engineer - Body Engineering role


* Experience working in the Automotive industry in the initial pre-programme start-phase
* Held a similar role in Quality or Product Engineering
* Understanding of product development stages from concept to delivery
* Able to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality


* Ability to challenge existing thinking in a positive way, whilst building credibility and trust, through innovative thinking, experience and personal style.
* Experience of a range of Body Engineering commodities including function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
* Experience with failure mode avoidance procedures (FMEAs)

Key Skills of the Quality Engineer - Body Engineering

* Experienced with Quality Operating Systems procedures & deliverables, with an aptitude for applying quality principles in solving business process issues.
* Experience of structured problem resolution
* Previous experience of Vehicle Product Development in pre-production and / or Launch phases
