An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join as an Area Sales Manager reporting into the National Sales Manager, operating within the Midlands/North UK region.

Area Sales Manager responsibilities:

As our Area Sales Manager, you will be managing the sales area team whilst defining and achieving sales objectives. Responsibilities will also include:

- Defining and achieving sales objectives in line with annual business plan in area, and for key accounts.
- Managing the sales team to include activities such as, recruitment, training, coaching, development and motivating the team.
- Maintaining full responsibility for area and account issues, including commercial, technical, quality, problem solving and subordinate issues.
- Liaising with other Area Managers and Key Account Managers to support the development of accounts within the business area.
- Working together with channel partners and implementing local and European strategy for general industry distributors.
- Managing account profitability, whilst investigating and developing new opportunities and routes to market.
- Managing and co-ordinating European project activity within pre-designated areas.

Who are we looking for?

As our ideal candidate, you must have previous Sales Management experience gained from an Industrial or Engineering environment and a demonstrable experience of driving top line growth and achieving sales targets. You will also possess:

- Previous experience managing, coaching and developing a sales team
- A dynamic approach, bringing energy and passion into a team
- Excellent interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
- A good understanding of both distribution and sales into both MRO & OEM sectors
