We’re looking for Support Workers to work in our schools in our Portsmouth and Chichester SEN schools.

We work with both special and behavioural provisions who seek staff for on-site and off-site positions. Our schools also have residential provisions offsite for young people who have SEMH and Asperger’s Syndrome or have other associated difficulties on the Autistic Spectrum and therefore require Support Workers as an additional requirement.

In our roles you will:

* Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for young people with SEN

* Attend to practical matters in relation to childcare, ensuring you meet the physical, emotional, behavioural, cultural and educational needs of young people

* Establish positive relationships with young people and always offer them unconditional and positive regard
* Help young people gain self-control by challenging unacceptable behaviour and rewarding acceptable, pro-social conduct
* Ensure that each young person’s care plan is followed and amended as appropriate to reflect their changing needs

We're looking for people who:

* Have excellent communication skills and are a good team player
* Have a caring and compassionate nature
* Have the energy to provide a trusting stimulating and varied lifestyle to the children
* Wish to make a difference in children's lives
* Are at least 18 years of age

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
