The Company

My client specialises in the manufacturing of products for the construction market. This multi-million-pound company have been established for over 15 years

My client is going through massive investment with plough �1.5 million-pound last year in new machinery and set to match that this year. This allows them to provide a diverse and flexible service to all their customer from small businesses to massive blue-chip businesses. The business has been experiencing a huge period of growth having increased their turnover in the last 12 months, With no sign of a slowdown.

The Role

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the co-ordination of the Maintenance activities within their factory. This would include the management of the PPM system for that factory, assigning work orders to Maintenance crews & manage spares, along with running daily meetings, plus co-ordinate any training necessary for the Engineers.

Alongside their Supervisory duties, the Maintenance Supervisors would also be expected to get hands on with maintenance tasks, being the last line of defence when breakdowns occur. They will also be expected to help troubleshoot more complex issues alongside Maintenance staff.

Electrically the Maintenance Supervisor will be Fault finding on electrical components using both a multimeter and PLCs, changing electrical components, running new cables and trucking, changing motors, sensors and thermocouples.

Mechanically the successful candidate will be fault finding and changing mechanical components like Hydraulic pumps, hoses, cylinders and rams, valves, pneumatic cylinders and rams, hoses, valves and actuators, bearings, rollers, slats, gearboxes, shafts, trunking, pumps and pipework, plastic pellet screw injectors, injector nozzles and vacuum transfer systems. There will also be Oil and filter changes, general greasing, strip down and rebuilding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems. No machining, welding or fabrication is required.

The Candidate

To be successful as a Maintenance Supervisor in your application you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:

* Must have a recognised Electrical or mechanical Engineering Qualification.
* Must have previous experience working on automated plant.
* Must be able to fault find using a Multimeter against electrical drawings.

Training & Development

The business can offer the right Maintenance Supervisor several in-house and external college courses for all of their staff. Training courses are selected on a case by case basis for individual engineers depending on what development is needed. There are also various courses that all Engineers are sent on, including Siemens S7 training for Modification.
