The Opportunity Our client, a well-established and highly successful financial services business is currently seeking to appoint a Finance Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. Managing a team of 4 and reporting to the Finance Director key responsibilities will include: · Preparation of the monthly management accounts & board level reporting Management and development of a team of 4 Overseeing the running of the purchase ledger and sales ledger functions Production of KPI reporting and analysis Aged debtor/creditor analysis Ensure compliance with relevant financial services regulations Quarterly VAT returns Manage supplier and insurer relationships Support Directors and the Senior Management team Yearend reporting, preparation of the annual audit and key point of contact for the auditors Overseeing the payroll processing Profile Candidates will ideally possess a formal accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) but strong individuals who are studying or qualified by experience will also be considered. Previous experience in a similar role is essential, together with staff management experience, advanced Excel skills and payroll knowledge. Candidates should be available at short notice, be comfortable committing to a 12 month fixed term contract and have the ability to hit the ground running. Strong communication skills and the confidence to work in a fast-paced environment will also be key.
