Temporary one year contract for a Biology teacher in Tameside, full time from September 2018.

Are you a qualified Science teacher with a specialism for Biology? Do you have sufficient experience teaching KS4 Biology and are you looking for work in a supportive school in the new academic year?

Due to a late staffing change within their Science faculty, a reputable mixed 11-16 secondary school in Tameside have a temporary position in September for a Biology teacher. This is a full time one year post, with the option to become permanent upon the completion of a successful year until July 2019. Due to the size of the school and make of the department, the timetable will consist of GCSE Biology teaching, therefore you will need to have sufficient experience or a specialism for Biology, you will also be required to teach KS3 Chemistry and Physics with full support from the faculty leader. If you are an experienced Biology teacher or a newly qualified teacher, this Science department will offer you first rate support and on-going weekly CPD to develop your teaching practice, other highlights of this position include;

Situated in Tameside, this is a much smaller than average mixed secondary school serving a tight-knit local community. Due to a late staffing change and a current teacher gaining promotion at another school, the Science department require a Biology teacher for the next academic year and a further option to become permanent from the summer term 2019.
