A primary SEN school in Radcliffe, Bury are looking for a Psychology Graduate Teaching assistant to work on a long term basis at their school immediately. The role will involve supporting young people with additional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis. This position is due to begin as soon as possible and will continue through into the new academic year.

The Bury school require Psychology Teaching assistants who are able to work with 5-11 year olds who have a range of special educational needs including moderate, severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties. Some of the children may require assistance with personal care so you must have a willingness to help out with this. Also, some children can become verbally and physically challenging therefore additional training such as Team-Teach would be beneficial; Teaching Personnel do offer this training.

The successful Psychology Teaching assistant will have a good theoretical understanding of special educational needs. You must also be a confident and a resilient Teaching assistant who holds a genuine desire to help young people with SEN achieve.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
