S & L Personnel Limited are a leading recruitment business with offices throughout the Midlands.

We are currently looking to source an experienced Materials Handler / Forklift Driver for our client based in the Lutterworth area. This is an exciting opportunity to secure a Permanent role after the initial 12 week Temp To Perm trial period.

The Materials Handler / Forklift Driver role will involve working a rotating shift pattern :

Week 1. 6am to 2pm Monday To Friday, Hourly Pay Rate on this shift is £8.00

Week 2. 2pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 12.30 to &pm. Hourly Pay Rate for this shift is £9.24

KEY OBJECTIVES:

-Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of materials to operations including Liquids. (Forklift)

-Prepare finished goods for despatch to warehouse stock or for delivery direct to customer. (All)

-Remove, sort and dispose of waste from the production area into appropriate re-cycling containers. (All)

-Ensure all finished goods and raw materials are placed back into storage when finished with (Forklift)

-Ensure All lines are washed through as per procedure and liquid changes completed as required (only if trained)

-Ensure labels are stored in the correct location and organised efficiently. (All)

-Ensure that all operations are carried out within strict health and safety guidelines. (All)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- From the Job Raw Material Pick Lists held in the Wipes and Headwear areas, check required stock availability on the computer system and ascertain pick locations for product.
- Pick correct quantity of product as required and deliver to Work in Progress area.
- Regularly patrol Wipes and Headwear machine operations to assess new raw material requirements and liaise with Team Leaders and operators throughout the shift.
- Having identified/been advised of a requirement for raw material to be delivered to a machine, prepare the relevant material in the Work in Progress area, for production i.e. remove packaging, Roll Turning etc.
- Deliver raw material to machine operations at the time required, working to Job Pick List and production schedule
- Prepare finished goods for despatch to warehouse or delivery direct to customer, by wrapping and strapping using machinery provided.
- Subject to development and systems procedures being in place, deliver finished goods correctly to identified locations, enter data onto computer system and print labels as required.
- Upon delivery of chemicals by suppliers to the Wipes forecourt, unload as and when requested by the Team Leader.
- Ensure the movement of chemical IBC's within Chemical Mixing/Storage and Production areas, as prioritised by the Team Leader.
- Remove all waste product from outside the production area, sort and place in the appropriate re-cycling skips.
- Process Returns To Stock of raw materials. Enter on system and print labels
- Wash out production Lines as required (only if trained) & set up for next liquid, following correct procedures
- Any other reasonable duties as requested.


KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

1.Amount of delays in production due to Lack of Raw materials (incl liquids)

2.Timing for changeover of liquids

3.Pallet Movements (Forklift if applicable)

4.Clearing of RTS

5.Clearing of Finished stock

6.Housekeeping (incl minor spill management)
