LOCATION: Littlehampton & Bognor Regis, West Sussex
JOB TITLE: Care Home Activities Coordinator 
SALARY & BENEFITS: £9.05 per hour plus benefits 
WORKING HOURS: Full Time (Days only - predominately Monday to Friday although a flexible approach will be needed for any activities that may occur at the weekends (day-time) 

THE COMPANY: Our client are a family owned business with 25 years experience in caring for the elderly who offer two beautiful care homes, with luxurious accommodation and first class care facilities to ensure that their residents are well looked after during their retirement years. They now seek an experienced and motivational individual to join their team as an Activities Coordinator where you will be based between 2 care homes, 1 in Littlehampton and 1 also in Bognor Regis, West Sussex. 

THE ROLE: A vacancy has arisen for an Activities Coordinator to join our clients existing friendly team. You will work between our client;s care home in both Littlehampton and Bognor Regis and will plan and co-ordinate an annual program of activities in collaboration with the Manager(s) of both homes, providing a stimulating and therapeutic environment for residents supporting them to remain as independent as possible whilst stimulating their physical and mental state and well-being. 

You will encourage residents to continue with pre-existing hobbies and interests whilst assessing individual needs continuously, particularly with regard to possible rehabilitation and to participate in resident reviews as appropriate. You will liaise and communicate with other members of staff, family members and friends of residents and will also attend staff meetings and report/record any observations regarding the resident’s health and well-being. 

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Care Home Activities Coordinator's role must have previous experience in planning and providing activities to the elderly and due to the role being required to cover 2 homes (7 miles apart) candidates must have a Driving Licence and use of the own vehicle. You should be a great communicator who is naturally empathetic and someone who enjoys working with people and making a real difference to people's lives. You should be an enthusiastic person who can identify, respect, and tailor plans to suit individual needs. 

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Care Home Activities Coordinators role :-

- Must have a Driving Licence and be within commutable distance to Littlehampton and Bognor Regis, West Sussex
- Previous experience planning and providing activities to the elderly essential
- Excellent communications skills are essential
- Must be able to take a flexible approach to work and tasks
- Should be an enthusiastic and motivated person ready to try and make a difference to peoples lives
