Teaching Personnel are currently seeking applicants to fill full and part time Teaching Assistant positions at a specialist SEN school in Winchester starting in September 2018.

The school caters for a pupils aged 11-19 with a variety of learning disabilities, all of whom have an allocated Education Health Care Plan (EHCP). This position will require the support of pupils who may have the following:

* Mild Learning Difficulties (MLD)
* Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
* Autism (ASC/ASD)
* Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

The school has an outstanding ethos which encourages the development of the young people attending, aiming to meet high expectations to ensure all pupils achieve their full potential. This is highlighted by the schools amazing arts and music programs, which saw the pupils becoming the first act to play on stage at 2018 “Winchestival”.

Successful applicants will be confident and outgoing, as this position will be challenging but extremely rewarding. Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant with SEN pupils or challenging behaviour is preferred but not required.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
