LOCATION: Grateley, Andover

JOB TITLE: Support Worker Day 

SALARY & BENEFITS: £8.24 per hour + 5.6 weeks paid annual leave, full training provided (RQF level 3 qualification cost would be covered), pension contribution, cycle to work scheme, childcare vouchers, retail discounts, employee reward scheme and on-site parking

WORKING HOURS: TERM TIME ONLY 40 hours per week, 39 weeks per year working on a shift basis which will include some weekends;

7.30am-3.00pm Early Shift

2.30pm-10pm Late Shift

There is an opportunity to work night shifts working a minimum of two shifts per week

THE COMPANY: Our client is a successful, residential special school for young people with a diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome and/or associated disorders. They also have a house in Salisbury for 6th Form students.

THE ROLE: An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Support Worker to join our team full time permanent basis. This full time 40 hour contract will involve shift patterns so flexibility is key.

No previous experience is required as our passionate team have the capability to deliver industry-
leading training in order to equip you with the necessary skills.

You will work as part of a team of carers providing direct day to day care, direction and support to
young people who present challenging, emotional and social difficulties and to maintain and promote an environment they feel safe in. 

THE CANDIDATE: For the role of the Support Worker, you will be a reliable and flexible team player. You will be friendly, kind, honest, reassuring and an effective communicator. You will share the company's goal of delivering excellent care and have an awareness of the general health, safety and welfare of young people. 

Key experience essential for the role of the Support Worker:- 

• Willing to complete a DBS check at employment stage
• Be over the age of 21 years old due to insurance purposes
• Have a Full UK Driving licence and your own transport as the location is quite remote
• Willing to complete ongoing training throughout your employment
• Live within a commutable distance to Grateley, Andover
