Our client single sex secondary school in the central Manchester area is looking for a Child Protection ‘officer’ or person who can cover a maternity leave for 1 term. This will be a 4 day per week role (0.8) from September to December.

The successful experienced Child Protection ‘person’ will be part of a team of 2 and an administrative assistant so will become part of an inclusive and experienced team.

The successful Child Protection person MUST HAVE up to date Designated Person Training (i.e. Designated Safeguarding Person) given the nature of the role. The successful Child Protection person will have responsibility at a strategic level as well as on a day to day basis.

* Pay ranging between �2000 - �2333 per month depending on experience

This single sex secondary school is situated in the South Manchester area which is very easy to get to for any applicant. The school has a large on site car park, residential parking nearby and is serviced often by the local buses in the area. The school is part of a local trust of secondary schools with a leadership team who are not only highly supportive but part of the day to day running of this Outstanding school.

The successful Designated Person/Child Protection Person will be involved with ensuring all staff are aware of how to raise safeguarding concerns as well as being part of the team that refers any concerns to social care. There is an administrative assistant but there may also be an element of ensure records are kept up to date with the whole team.

If you have experience of dealing with Child Protection and have up to date Designated Person Training, then apply now for immediate consideration. The school wish the successful individual to start in September but will be asked into school for a couple of days in the next 3 weeks to trial and get to know the team.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
