Are you an experienced Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineer looking for a fresh challenge within the world of Quality? Would you like to work for one of the UK's leading hand, power tool and equipment distributors?

Due to continued success and growth, we are now recruiting for an additional Quality Control Engineer to work closely with our Product Buying Team in Bury St Edmunds to ensure both new and existing products comply with quality standards and directives. What will I be responsible for?

We are looking for a Quality Control Engineer with a strong Electrical and Mechanical Engineering background who has the desire to move into a Quality role to learn our Quality processes and procedures.

The Quality department focuses on reviewing and assessing new products and subjecting them to appropriate levels of hands on inspection, utilising a range of tools and techniques to ensure they are fit for purpose. We will provide you with full training on how Quality works here at Sealey.

Other duties may include assisting with product instruction manuals and providing guidance on product compliance and labelling as well as providing additional Quality support when required.

What do I need?

The most important thing we are looking for is an Engineer with a strong Electrical, Electronic and/or Mechanical Background with a keen interest in developing into a Quality role. This role would ideally suit somebody who is perhaps looking to steer their Engineering career towards Quality where they may not have had the opportunity to previously. Knowledge of the Quality Standards framework and legislation isn't necessary, but would be advantageous and we would provide full support and training on this. We will require you to have:

- A great team ethic, alongside the ability to work autonomously.
- A methodical approach to your work.
- The ability to read and understand technical and engineering drawings and documentation.
- The ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
- An understanding of, or interest in our range of products.
- A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel and Outlook.
- A knowledge of British (BS), European (CE) and International (ISO) product standards such as LVD and the Machinery Directive is desirable, although not essential as you will be introduced to these as required.
