The school is an ambitious, forward thinking, Rights Respecting School in Battersea. They are looking for two early years teaching assistants who will play a key role in supporting class teachers in ensuring that all children to have high expectations of themselves and achieve well. They will be committed to putting the child’s well being first and be interested in supporting vulnerable pupils.

You:

* Enjoy working with children and be able to develop positive relationships with them.
* Be able to develop an understanding of the educational, welfare and social needs of the child being supported
* Have experience of supporting groups of children across the ability range
* Have relevant training in supporting children with special educational needs in the classroom setting
* Be able to stay calm and objective when presented with unusual or challenging behaviour
* Be enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team
* Have good communication skills
* Be flexible with regard to other classroom work

Requirements:

* You must be available Full Time - 5 days per Week
* Hold a valid enhanced DBS (or willing to get one)
* Able to provide 2 valid references

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
