Avalon Aero, a leading maintenance and service provider for VIP and special mission aircraft based in the UK, are looking to employ an enthusiastic, capable and reliable Stores Supervisor within its hangar facility at Cranfield Airport, Bedfordshire. Working with private owners and large organisations, Avalon Aero strives to provide the very best in aircraft maintenance and supporting services to its customers.

Working with a range of aircraft, the right candidate will be expected to handle the day to day supervision of the stores and its team, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of aircraft parts to engineers, management and onsite customer representatives.

Being responsible to the Stores & Logistics Manager, the successful candidate will be expected to perform to the best of the ability and provide exceptional support to their team and other departments across the company.

During periods of heavy, intensive base maintenance, the candidate will need to demonstrate proficient skills at organisation and time management, whilst displaying clear and accurate record keeping.

The candidate will be working on a hangar floor environment with teams of fellow colleagues and customers, so excellent interaction and personable skills are highly recommended.

Candidates will be required to hold an airside pass, at the company’s expense, but to do so the they must hold a valid form of photo identification (such as a passport or UK Drivers licence). The company will carry out a background check as part of the airside pass application, therefore any criminal record history must be advised at the time of application.

Candidates should show a strong knowledge of  IT software, particularly with Excel, Outlook and Word, though experience with databases would be preferred.

The role may require the use of fork lift driving from time to time, therefore there candidate should disclose if there are any medical issues that may need to be accounted for to perform these tasks in advance.
Experience within the aviation industry is strongly preferred, but not essential as training will be provided.
