Our client are a NFP organisation based in Leeds, They have an opportunity for a part or fully ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent Accountant to join then for an initial 12 month contract. The role will sit within a very well established finance team and take responsibility for the following areas: *Prepare monthly Management Accounts, review for variances and analyse as necessary in accordance with monthly timescales *Prepare separate management information sheets for each budget holder (revenue and capital items) *Liaise with and provide support to budget holders in monitoring their budgets *Prepare and input corrective journals as necessary *Prepare a monthly staffing journal for inclusion in the Management Accounts - reconcile to the payroll department and liaise with the external payroll provider as required. Investigate anomalies. *Input the annual budget onto the nominal ledger *Further develop SUN Finance reporting functionality *Complete the monthly on line Pension Return *Assist in: -updating and maintaining the 30 year business plan -producing cashflow forecasts weekly, monthly etc -production of Board papers as and when required. -the production of the annual budget *Deputise at meetings as required *Provide cover for weekly BACS payment run as required. *Assist in preparation of annual financial statements, including audit working documents prepared to a high standard, investigating any anomalies *Assist in the completion of the annual insurance renewal document and coordination of insurance claims *Preparation and submission of the quarterly VAT return *Maintenance of the fixed asset register including reconciliation to the nominal ledger, liaising with the Assets department to ensure accuracy of transactions *Assist in the reconciliation of all loan balances including calculation and submission of loan covenant information *Provide support to other members of the team as required *Involvement in the maintenance and updating of the income matrix, including calculation of annual increases *Calculate and reconcile the annual surplus/deficits *Liaise with the directorate to complete the calculations and answer queries as they arise during the year Sharp Consultancy is a finance and accountancy recruitment specialist assisting accounting and finance divisions of businesses in the Yorkshire and Derbyshire area.
