We require an experienced teaching assistant for a year 1 post starting asap supporting full time at an Ofsted rated 'Good' primary school in Leicester . The role will be ideal for someone with a strong pastoral care and nurture skills background but all appliactants will be considered.

The ideal candidate will have an affluent background in supporting pupils with SEN and will have effective behaviour management skills; you must have an understanding approach to the differing needs of pupils and the ability to adapt lessons when working on a 1:1 basis with pupils to allow them to engage with the curriculum. Experience of supporting pupils with ASC will also be looked upon favourably.

The faculty team are highly supportive and welcoming of new staff and will gladly provide any guidance necessary. The position will begin after asap and will be reviewed at Easter with the potential of being extended.

An ideal candidate will have:

-A UK recognised Teaching Assistant Qualification (CACHE Level 3 or Equivalent)

-At least 6 months recent experience supporting in an educational setting

-Great behaviour management skills

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
