Care Practitioner - Overton Residential School

Salary - £21,200 - £25,212

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and skilled Care Practitioners to join our newly established team at our brand new residential school, Overton School, in Ludlow.

we are ideally looking individuals who can join us in September however this is not essential as we will also be recruiting for Care Practitioners at this site in January and April to assist us in the schools expansion.

At BMC we have over 30 years of expertise and work with leading professional in the industry to equip our staff with the knowledge and skills required to transform the lives of vulnerable children and young people. At Overton school we will be providing specialist residential and educational placements to children and young people between 10-18 who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis, and are searching for professional care practitioners to assist us in delivering outstanding levels of residential care.

As a care practitioner you need to be:

- Committed to providing an excellent level of care for our young people.
- Enthusiastic in your approach to tough challenges.
- Assertive in difficult situations
- Able to remain calm under pressure.
- A strong communicator with great interpersonal skills.

To apply for the role, you will require:

- Full driving licence and your own vehicle
- Flexibility to travel and work shifts (A typical shift is 2 days on 4 days off and will include the requirement to sleep on the premises.)?

This is a permanent, full-time role and has a salary range that exceeds industry standards and starts at £21,200 per annum with the opportunity to further develop their professional knowledge and progress through our salary scales.

we ideally would like to find individuals who have experience of working with children and young people with an ASD diagnosis however this isnt essential and comprehensive initial and ongoing training and support will be provided to each member of staff.
