A multi-national, market leading company based in Stevenage are looking for a Build Inspector to join their growing team on an initial 6 month contract. The Build Inspector will work in the Combined Propulsion Systems (CPS) and Satellite Assemble Hall (SAH) Departments, working as part of a team in an ISO class 8 cleanroom. The candidate will be responsible for inline harness resistance testing against requirements, and raising the reporting of inconsistency as well as being in control of the verification of flight hardware using Drawing Work Instruction, Processes and Procedures.

The successful candidate will:
• Be electrically experienced or a trained QC inspector who can read electrical engineering drawings.
• Have experience in verifying the Combined Propulsion System and thermal Harnesses (wiring loom) hardware to drawings and work instructions.
• Measure harness resistance and insulation resistances, record and enter writing data into instructions or spreadsheets.
• Test circuits with diodes, heaters, thermistors and thermostats in them.
• Be competent in the use of hand measuring tools, such as Vernier and Micrometer.
• Have knowledge in soldering, preferably ESA certificated, and have background in patrol auditing Works Instructions and assembly technicians’ activities.

The Build Inspector will be experienced in electrical/mechanical quality control or related discipline, as well as have knowledge in Quality Control within a manufacturing environment. They will ideally have a recognised time served apprenticeship within the aerospace industry and have the confidence to challenge technicians, as well as suggest improvements in ways of working
