We are looking for someone to review, develop and champion our clients intranet to ensure it meets the needs of a complex, multi-site and growing clinical organisation.

You will use your advanced keyboard skills and intranet content management knowledge to work with the current providers to implement changes, to manage the administration and promote the use of the intranet by the workforce.

You will have experience in maintaining intranet content management systems to a high level, including uploading and removing documents, the creation of new sections and reorganisation of site structure. You may have experience of website or intranet design and will be able to adapt to new IT systems quickly. Our current system is Orchidnet and familiarisation with this or similar would be an advantage.

Excellent organisational, influencing and communication skills are required as an important part of this role will be to champion the use of the intranet across the organisation and to train and support other users.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. To be responsible for the overall administration of the intranet

2. Assist with the development of the intranet to ensure it meets clinical governance and organisational objectives

3. Employ advanced keyboard skills to work with the current providers to implement any agreed changes to site structure

4. Review the structure and site map of the intranet and ensure content is published in line with clinical governance, corporate/organisational and communications objectives

5. Produce and maintain an up-to-date site map

6. Ensure content to is kept up to date across the site through system of regular monitoring and removal of out of date content

7. Ensure the home page is updated regularly with new and engaging content

8. Support, train and guide local area intranet champions and oversee their input

9. Establish and maintain clear protocols for the tagging of content to ensure documents can be found by users

10. Provide induction and training materials for all new employees to embed use of

intranet to be part of the corporate induction process

11. Provide training and support for local area intranet champions, face-to-face and webinar.

12. Champion and promote the use of the intranet across the organisation including regular updates to highlight new content
