An OFSTED 'good' school in north Manchester are seeking to appoint a qualified Primary teacher from September 2018 on a long term, potentially permanent basis.

The school are looking for a Primary teacher who has a passion for supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. This school caters for pupils who have social, emotional and mental health needs in KS1 and KS2, and will follow to structure and routines of the Primary model of teaching. Pupils are working at a lower level than that of their mainstream peers, so a teacher with knowledge of EYFS curriculum is also ideal due to additional needs and speech and language needs.

Class sizes are small, up to 7 pupils per class with a number of support staff to assist. Classes are relatively calm, but this teacher must have strong behaviour management due to potential behaviours that can occur. Team - Teach training is essential, however Teaching Personnel can assist you with this training before September if you do not already have it. The successful teacher will have a strong understanding of social, emotional and mental health needs, any previous experience working with outside agencies would also be ideal. Pupils show respect to their teachers and support staff but their social, emotional and mental health needs mean that they can sometimes show challenging behaviours.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
