THE ROLE: Senior Support Worker/Team Leader - Blackpool, Lancashire
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Support Workers to really make a difference to individual’s lives.
You will work alongside the Support Manager to ensure that our staff is providing excellent support to the people that we work with.

As a Team Leader you will play a key role in the day to day management of the services. You will provide support and supervision to the team of support staff, be key to managing the rota and ensuring staff are fully trained, and provide on the job coaching, feedback, and act as a role model. You will also take part in an on-call rota to ensure that our staff have access to support when it is needed.

Key Responsibilities – Senior Support Worker/Team Leader, Blackpool, Lancashire

- Social and emotional support, either at home and/or in my local community
- Support with their shopping, assist with budgeting,
- Building/maintaining relationship with friends and family
- Household tasks including cooking, cleaning and laundry
- Going out for walks, drives, swimming and other activities that people supported may want to experience.

THE CANDIDATE: Senior Support Worker/Team Leader, Blackpool, Lancashire
You need to be positive and committed to supporting and improving people’s lives through person centred approaches and team work.
To reach your full potential in this role you need to have the right values in working with people, leadership skills and be able to work as part of a team. You need to be a good role model and lead by example. You will work alongside staff to develop their confidence and skills to provide excellent support, through feedback and coaching.
As part of the management team you need to have excellent communication including verbal, written and IT skills and be organised, and plan your time effectively.
It is hard work but amazingly rewarding to see the development of the people you support and the staff that support them.
You will be willing to learn and try new things, through training and team work

Key experience for the role:- Senior Support Worker/Team Leader, Blackpool, Lancashire

- Experience in a team leading role from the Health Care Sector (applications welcome from experienced Support workers)
- As a requirement of the role you will need to be willing to work flexibly, including shifts and be able to drive. You will also have (or be willing to work towards) a level 3 Qualifications & Credit Framework Diploma (QCF) or equivalent
- Must be over 21 and hold a full driving license
- Empathy, caring and sensitivity to the needs of others
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and do sleep in’s when required on rota basis

Previous experience working as Team leader, Care Worker, Health Care Assistant, Support Worker, Nurses, Social Care Worker, Care Assistant, Mental Health Care Worker
