SEN Teaching Assistant needed for South Stockport Secondary School. Due to an expanding department the school are looking for additional learning support assistants to work within their Autism Resource Centre. If you are currently working as a teaching assistant, youth worker, counsellor or health and social care worker we welcome your application.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who have a passion for education and want to make an impact on the learning journey of students who have SEN support needs. The school are looking for Learning Mentors to work with students who have various learning difficulties such as moderate learning difficulties, social emotional health support and emotional behavioural difficulties.

Situated in the SK9 post code of Stockport the school has direct public transport routes via train or bus and can be found just off the A34.

Teaching Assistants interested in this post will need to have a passion for supporting young people, suitable references, some form of experience in a support capacity and eligibility for a fully enhanced DBS certificate.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
