Marketing Team Assistant

The Company

Our client, based in Central London, is one of the world’s leading luxury brand firms, providing agency, development, management, investment and professional services across established and emerging business sectors.   They are currently recruiting a Marketing Team Assistant to provide an efficient and effective administrative support to the department.

The Role

- Assisting in the organisation of regional events; including the logistics, as well as the provision of name badges, literature and exhibition stands
- Managing registration and accommodation requests for regional events
- Attending events as necessary to provide onsite support; including supporting reception, client engagement and various administrative duties as required
- Assisting the marketing team in departmental and corporate initiatives, such as PowerPoint presentations, organograms, case studies, mail-outs, events, pitches and company events
- Maintaining and updating the corporate events and client entertainment calendar
- Providing content management support for intranet
- Updating content regularly on the website; including press releases and research reports and job postings
- Providing PowerPoint support for presentations
- Provide proof reading support as necessary
- Manage and maintain monthly marketing dashboard
- Dealing with telephone queries from both internal and external clients
- Liaising with the accounts team to coordinate the collation, coding and processing of all marketing-related invoices, as well as other jobs e.g. cheque requisitions and credit card payments
- Manage internal and external distribution lists
- Monitor and respond to general email enquiries daily
- Ordering stationery and general office duties
- Organising meetings and taking minutes
- Assisting with ad-hoc corporate marketing projects
- Word processing
- Monitoring and maintaining the department’s holiday and sickness requests

Required skills

- Must be educated to degree level or equivalent
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Good Knowledge of Trade and Direct Marketing
- Liaising with Print and external companies where necessary
- Knowledge of HTML would be an advantage
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to effectively prioritise responsibilities, manage own time and meet deadlines
- Conscientious approach with excellent attention to detail
- Proactive approach and able to work on own initiative
- Effective team player who must be able to work as part of a team and carry out instructions
- Must be interested in pursuing a career in marketing and communications
