This is an award winning property set near Bath that is well established but continues to grow in status..

The property is set near a small market town but also offers plenty of amenities nearby including a train station.

Although the pace of the property is somewhat slower than other the demands and standards required in the kitchen will require a Sous Chef who is;
- Willing to listen and implement the standards set by the Head Chef whilst also being forthcoming with ideas.
- Organised - with the ability to work at a high intensity level
- Flexible in their approach
- Has the ability to train and mentor junior chef through personal development
- Has the culinary skills to deliver consistently excellent food within all areas of the hotel.

Supporting with the management of 4-5 chefs as the Sous Chef you will be expected to run and lead this kitchen operation in the absence of the Head Chef. Due to the size of the property and the team this is very much a "hands on" and getting "stuck in approach".

Part of your development will be to understand and navigate the understanding of profitability. This will be supported with you by the Head Chef.

Working closely with the Head Chef & General Manager your key aims will be to you maintain the 2AA status of the restaurant.

To do this you will be working with the very best locally sourced food where fusing this with your passion to elevate the status of the food within the property and the surrounding area.

What is needed to apply for this fantastic role?
- Experience as an established Sous Chef at a fresh food property or a Senior CDP / Junior Sous Chef with a rosette background.
- Ideally experience of working in a multi-outlet property within a hotel
- The ability to manage the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef - ensuring food standards are maintained and that junior staff are respected and coached.
- A strong working knowledge of kitchen all issues around Health and Safety and kitchen compliance
