Teaching Personnel are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and hard-working teacher, who has a genuine passion for working with students with moderate or complex learning difficulties. There is some flexibility in terms of the subjects you will deliver however the ability to teach Core subjects, Cooking & Nutrition, Art or Music would be advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will lead a subject area and have a tutor group assigned to them.

Experience of working with students with complex needs, including ASD, is essential. The school is currently in the process of extending its designation to include students with severe learning difficulties (SLD). Experience of teaching students with SLD would be advantageous but not essential.

The school is a secondary (11 – 16 years), co-educational, Special School for pupils with complex learning difficulties. Some have additional sensory impairment, physical difficulties or medical needs, and others are identified as being within the autistic spectrum. All are considered to be ‘vulnerable’. All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
