Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting an RE teacher that teaches RE as a specialism but can also cover other areas of Humanities on behalf of one our partner schools that is located in Leigh on the border of the Bolton and Wigan LEA’s.

* RE teacher required ASAP – Must teach RE as a specialism but can cover areas of Humanities

* Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (�22,917 - �38,633)

* Full time from September, 1 term initially with potential to be taken on for 12 months

* Applicants must hold UK QTS and a PGCE/Equivalent specialising in secondary Religious Education.

Due to a gap within their Humanities department ahead of the new academic year, the Headteacher of this 11-16 mixed comprehensive wishes to appoint a RE teacher from September 2018.

The successful applicant will be required to take on full responsibility of a timetable made up of both KS3 and GCSE classes ranging in ability. The school are looking for somebody to teach RE primarily but have highlighted that they would like to recruit somebody that can cover other areas within the humanities department.

The ideal candidate will be confident building strong rapport with pupils and hold the ability to consistently deliver ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ practice. Those passionate about raising pupil attainment and with proven records will fit perfectly into this department.

Found on the outskirts of the Wigan LEA, this school is located on the skirts of Leigh town centre and is easily accessible from the surrounding areas; Wigan, Salford, Bolton and Manchester. The majority of pupils on roll (950) are of white British heritage, there are an average amount of EAL pupils on roll and those who are eligible for free school meals.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
